Hey, have any of you found a good price for a dual core amd64 laptop? I'v been looking, and so far I have only been able to find alienware which has them, and it was $3000! It would be cheaper of course if 'doze wasn't included. YOu know any other places where one can find a amd64 dual core laptop? Thanks.

Those laptops seem to be the same price as the alienware ones, after you change ram to 1 gig, which i probably want.

dmb think about what your asking. you want dual core highend stuff for budget prices, thats not going to happen. you will have to wait for prices to drop however long that takes or drop the cash needed for what your asking.

Well, i didn't really mean cheaper in that sense, i meant cheaper kind of like as in it didn't have to include whatever that latest nvidia card is, or even without windows and software. Im basically just looking for a dual core amd 64+1gig of ram. Thats it, I don't need anything else.

wait for the turion X2 to come out or go for a dual core opteron and lower the vcore.

wait for the dual-core turions, a full 939 X2 will give you next to no battery life
