Hey,
I downloaded what I thought to be 10.10 x86 Alternate CD from utk.edu for an old desktop my parents gave me to turn into a server (custom built in 2001, Pentium 4 at 1.6 Ghz, 256 MB RAM..) and noticed it seemed really buggy for some reason. When I checked the About Ubuntu, it said it was 11.04!

Just thought someone may like to know this.

This is a recent, and known problem. It is almost certain that you have 10.10.
To confirm this please run
lsb_release -a in a terminal.

As Quackers mentioned, this is a bug:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+s...cs/+bug/690248 (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntu-docs/+bug/690248)

From the terminal:

cat /etc/*release
