I will disagree with them saying certain words can't be used certain ways. Language isn't static; it's always evolving. Words take on new meanings. They always have and they always will. However, I do agree that certain words are overused. Using clichés is not creative, but expressing thoughts in original dialog is.

Agreed, if it wasn't for Beyonce " Bootylicious (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bootylicious)" never would of gain such popularity.

I'm still on an anti-"literally" drive. I make a point of correcting people in the middle of conversations now.

"You don't need literally there as a qualifier..."
"No, you mean metaphorically, not literally... Literally means something else. You can't literally laugh your head off, as its still clearly attached to your neck..."

The great thing about this is that people spend less time talking to me. I can't lose.
