I have a couple of Linux machines running, the main being a laptop running Ubuntu 10.10 desktop edition. Its used almost entirely for web browsing.
I've never even considered AV software, but recently noticed that Avast do have a Linux version.
I can see that perhaps if I download an infected Windows executable and then run it on some Windows box, i'd have wished i had some AV software on the Linux machine to catch it before it ever went near Windows, but other than that is there such a thing as Linux malware ? Key loggers etc that capture bank details for example ?
