 ):P I have downloaded iso. How do I burn a CD or DVD so it will boot and install Ubuntu ? And how do I get past the initramfs error ?

Use any disk burner, like Infrarecorder (ubuntu's recommended, appears in download instructions). Select burn disk, then it will show you all ISO's in the download area of your PC. Click on the one you want to use, make sure Simulation IS NOT checked, and burn.
Happy Installing!

Is that a Vista burner ? I have the iso in my Vista file system. Vista burns disks. They just don't seem linux bootable. The Vista is obscure and I may be choosing wrong burn options.
Also can I check the iso filesum in Vista ? Is there a Dell D600 Vista business Howto for installing Ubuntu ?
