View Full Version : [SOLVED] Did my Ubuntu Linux upgrade?

Hi. I recently installed Ubuntu Linux 10.10 on my laptop computer.

Now, when I look at the "About Ubuntu" menu item, it says I am running version 11.04 Natty Narwhal .

What happened? Do I have a setting that caused me to download the latest updates?
Did I do this the one time I invoked the Update Manager by hand?
Will this screw me up? The 11.04 release is not a stable release yet, is it?

Thanks for your help.

Relax, it's a bug (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntu-docs/+bug/690248).

Thanks, TeoBigusGeekus.
So its really 10.10 .

I made this new post because I did not find any post containing the string "11.04" when I searched these forums. After I made my post, I *still* did not get any result when I searched for "11.04".
Apparently I need some help with how to search the forums.

This must be something I don't understand about searching here.
This post can be found if I search for "Natty" or "Narwhal", but not for "11.04".
Is there something about a string with a period in it that is special here?

Thanks.
