Hello all,
I'm using the ubuntu guides, https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BurningIsoHowto, to burn a cd and I've downloaded the .iso image(I know this because it's on my desktop:p). I'm trying the compare hash help,https://help.ubuntu.com/community/HowToMD5SUM, and when I run term. and enter I get no directory found? What is going on? I know it's got to be me! I'm using this dell computer as a mad scientist experiment. I've bought a new hard drive to replace the 40gig one that's in it now and I want a disk to install on the new drive. Thanks for any help...I've looked the forums for any help but can't find this problem. Is it because it is installed to the desktop?

If you're already running Ubuntu, all you need to do is right-click on the icon for the ISO file and select Write to Disc.

Will this burn all what I've already installed in ubuntu? Ex. programs(devede, hydrogen drum machine, brasero, keepassx, so on and so forth). I've also changed the kernel to a newer version, as I was trying to fix a problem w/ burning dvd's.
Oh yeah, I think I've found my answer,https://help.ubuntu.com/community/UsingTheTerminal

No, the ISO being burned to disc means that the defaults will be on the CD you make since installing programs, etc will not affect the ISO.

Well I'm able to see the hash now, as I moved directory to desktop! But when I try the compare hash in the ubuntu hash help(copy and paste the hash from the term), I get "Phrase not found". I've compared the hashes just looking at it and it looks to be the same but the Phrase not found concerns me.
