Hi guys..
I'm really frustrated due to my computer giving me probs... so pls forgive me if i make a mistake in writing this post...

My Hard disk gets detected in BIOS but any OS i boot into...the OS does not detect my hard disk... Hence i cannot install it. :(

I'm trying to install Ubuntu 9.10 as i have that CD. At first the setup detected my hard disk, but then it disappeared.
My Partition manager shows up like the screenshot i'v attached

Any Help Appreciated.( Ask for any info you want)

Check the settings in the BIOS for your drive. You may need to tinker with them to get the right mode.

You might also reset the BIOS (first) to see if redetecting the drive might help.

In BIOS, set the SATA mode to "Legacy IDE" or "compatibility" or whatever is NOT AHCI.
