I have several applications that try to access the root folder when they start up and ultimately present an error message stating they cannot access the root folder. I'm in a typical users account. Why are more and more of my apps considering me to be root at startup? Except for nautilus just about any app that is reliant upon file browsing as part of it's function is considering the root folder to be my home folder. Any ideas what's happening?
