statically link libsdl?

I'm trying to compile qemu on Warty and it warns that it could not statically link libsdl. I already have libsdl1.2-debian and libsdl-dev.

Anyone knows which package I'm missing?

Nope, but I have a similar problem.
Qemu and Warty. It compiles somehow, but without the kqemu module and w/o network support, which makes in rather useless.

Anybody successful in compiling latest CVS version on qemu?
