Hello, I am having a problem with sleep and hibernating. I have Ubuntu 10.04 64-bit installed on my GA-EP45T-UD3LR motherboard. The problem is that when I try to put the system to sleep, it starts the procedure, but then ends up with my screen locked. I have no clue why it is not going to sleep. I have a USB mouse and keyboard if that helps, both are Logitech.

Thanks!

Hi,
As for what I've seen so far, to suspend and to hibernate are two of the most tricky things in gnu linux. Highly hardware dependent. If suspend doesn't work out of the box for you, you may save yourself a lot of headhaches considering whether you can have a happy life anyway without that or not ;)

Regarding hibernation, only one thought: Have you at least as much swap space as your ram? It's needed for hibernation.

Cheers
