xubuntu and recovery dvds?

Hello I was wondering if I ever get unhappy with xubuntu can I use my recovery DVD given to me with my P50IJ-X2 laptop will it let me revert back to windows 7, And are there any applications that are similar to itunes in the way of syncing my itouch 4g?
