I was on Update manager installing an update, and it told me I needed to restart my computer, which I did. When I chose Ubuntu from the OS choice list, it selected, then read: Auto Detect: Entering Power Save, and it went back to the welcome screen. Now, I can't get into Ubuntu. I am on WUBI and dual booting is not an option. What do I do?

See this http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1639198 (Problem #2, likely you're on 10.04.1 so use Solution #1 and then the permanent fix afer you get it booting).

Thanks for the advice. I was actually about to follow it, but before that, I tried, and what do you know, Ubuntu worked. I think the updates hadn't installed yet (though that took a very long time). Thanks again. :o
