question: why 7.04 ? so old and no more maintained. Your config can easily run Lucid/Maverick i386.

Get them a more recent version! 7.04 is not safe.

Also, install programs from Synaptic or Software Center if possible, do not download from the Internet.

I'm not a fan of trying to have several people use one PC. Around here, people are throwing out computers which are powerful enough to run Lubuntu 10.10.

I hope you won't connect this thing to the Internet, because it has security holes which are widely known.

does anybody know how to install flash player 10 on ubuntu (edubuntu) 7.04
i have to install it from tar.gz because .deb is not supported by ubuntu 7.04 long ago flash player 9.tar.gz had 2 files inside the archive but the new flash player has only one file libflashplayer.so no installer just that it was easy with flash player 9 because that one had an installer inside named flashplayer-installer along with libflashplayer.so anyone has any idea how to do this ;);)
