If i log out of the computer, i just don't get the login screen again. There's no error, just this...

fsck from util-linux-ng 2.17.2
/dev/sda1:clean, 175176/7135232 files, 4526335/28537344 blocks
*Starting AppArmor profiles Skipping profile in /etc/apparmor.d/disable:usr.bin.firefox
[OK]
*Setting sensors limits [OK]
*PulseAudio configured for per-user sessions
saned disabled; edit /etc/default/saned
*Checking battery state [OK]
I cannot use the keyboard, i can shut down by pressing the power button and it shuts down normally.

I didn't get this problem on Gnome or XFCE. I had removed Gnome and XFCE after i installed KDE and i thought that i might have messed something up while doing that, so i reinstalled after downloading the Kubuntu iso. Didn't help. the first thing i did after completing the updates was log out and the same thing happened.
I posted this on Absolute Beginner Talk and got no response, so I'm trying here. Please somebody respond, I really don't know what to do about this.
