View Full Version : [ubuntu] ati driver(fglrx)

hello, i am new with ubuntu and also i have some problems:) first i have hp dv6 notebook (ww041EA)
i 'd like to install ati hd5650 vga driver and i found the driver in ati's site. i downloaded the document and run with terminal. it is installed clearly then i restarted computer. then when opened again, computer warn to me about restricted drivers. FGLRX. when i clicked the activate fglrx then computer restarted and only exist console in the screen first it asked me the user and pass, then nothing. i searched on the internet about this problem i found some codes but i tried them like writing there but i have nothing. this laptop have two graphics card intel(R) HD and ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 maybe problem is about that i dont know. but about linux i am very amateur. please help me. thx all .
