Anyone know of or use this NEW boot-loader (burg)instead of grub or grub2?
Any complications if you did?

Burg brings some eye-candy to your Grub menu. I haven't tried it myself but we keep on seeing some problems on and off caused by Burg here on the forums. If you can survive those, no harm in trying Burg. If you don't feel confident or it is a critical system/server or whatever, I would recommend not to try it.

Anyways, if some problems arise, they can be fixed without a re-install. Just a matter of re-installing Grub and we can definitely guide you then :-)

And as a last note, many people are using Burg (I know) and it works for them ;-)

Thanks, I believe I will err on the side of caution since it always seems to bite me in the butt.To try the latest and greatest out there I will just have to try and curb those desires and be thankful for what I have.
Have a Good Day!

If you just want to set some background images for Grub menu, see section # 8 named 'Grub2 splash images and theming' here.
