Recently I bought an OCZ Vertex2 SSD only find out afterwards they didn't provide a Linux firmware updater but a couple of days ago OCZ announced the first beta release on their forum. It's doesn't contain any bugs that can ruin a drive and it has worked flawlessly for me. It detected the drive, fetched the latest firmware from the OCZ server and applied it to my drive. It's good to see a company like OCZ providing support for Linux users.
