I already posted similar thread on "Hardware and Laptop" forum, but
I thought this may be a more appropriate since this is a new install for me.
I installed Ubuntu 10.10 on an older Shuttle motherboard.
It can SUSPEND but the fan still runs, unfortunately.
I look at several "FAN" issues on this forum, and notice all of them
( so far ) than have FAN problems have Ubuntu 10.10 installed.
Is this a fair/correct observation?
I like to know if running version 10.04 have fan still running when in SUSPEND mode.
I wonder if Ubuntu can adjust FAN speed as temperature changes....
Thanks.
