I've had a couple of error pop-ups, the latest being 'video frame buffering ...'. Both of these errors where solved by checking the hardware connections. I found that in one case the cable to the card was too loose. So now, after hand tightening, I apply an extra tightening with a spanner. The 'video frame buffering ...' error I solved by making sure my card was properly seated into the motherboard. Card creep had made the electrical connections less than reliable. So I would advise that before seeking complex software solutions that one needs to rectify any hardware problems which may have occurred.
