umm a while back ago when i used ubuntu 10.04 it wouldnt let you edit your gui etc unlike jaunty jackalope i was wondering if theyadded any more features from jaunty jackalope lately?
such as grub editor etc

This question is way too vague to do much with. There are and always have been many aspects of the "gui" as you term it that are editable in 10.04, as in all the other versions of Ubuntu. That includes Grub which you mention.

However, there are differences between Jaunty and Lucid, just as there are differences between Lucid and Maverick. There were in fact some significant features introduced with Lucid one of which was the move from Grub 1 to Grub 2. Grub 2 is still editable, but it is different to Grub 1 - arguably more complex.

Your best bet is to do some reading up on any areas you want to know more about. Or alternatively you could post a more specific question if you have a specific issue you would like to resolve.
