I recently installed Ubuntu, and I've found that if I click the mouse lock button on my touchpad, then click it again to disable it, the mouse no longer works. A reboot will not help, either. It works fine in KDE, but fails in GNOME. I've had to reinstall multiple times just to fix this. I have an HP Pavilion dv6000 special edition notebook, with Ubuntu 10.10.
I'm at a loss, and I'd really like to know how to fix this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

yep, unfortunately accessibility is losing traction in gnome. not sure why this feature was seemingly purged. its preventing me from adopting Ubuntu.

I've also got a dv6000-series machine, but when I reboot the trackpad works fine. It's definitely an annoying glitch though. Glad to hear KDE seems to be immune to this issue. I may have to consider switching to KDE next time I reformat....
