I have installed Lucid from ubuntu-user mag issue 6 DVD and fresh install has a folder "tommy" along with my <user name> folder in the home directory. It contains hidden folder .google, and .bash_history, .esd_auth, .pulse-cookie , .google has folder picasa in it, so obviously the google app thing!

"tommy" does not show up as a user, and permissions are all root.

Have googled till I am blue in the face - nothing - can any one please tell me what the hell this "tommy" is?

security is my main concern

any and all info welcome

please.....

I posted on launchpad as well, seems from feedback there, that this is related to oracle virtual-box and google picasa app install - from the lucid dvd install, and that security may well be an issue ! as it appears to run as root !!! - if anyone has anything additional to add?
