Hello,
I am building a new machine and I thought what a perfect time to see what all the talk is about ubuntu/mythbuntu. Read, I am new to building computers.
So I burned the cd image and installed ubuntu with error and then tried mythbuntu install. This install worked all the way until the end of the install where it said that it was not able to install the bootloader , that is it wasn't able to be installed. It gave me three choices (as i remember from last night)
1. shows two locations my hardrive that it failed to install and my CD drive
2. shows do not install.
3. manual install
First, what is this bootloader and what or how is it used?
Second, what do you think is going wrong with my install and what should i do to fix it. I took the hard drive and reformatted it on another machine and tested it with west dig. and it passed.
