I have an Acer Aspire 5532. At one time, Ubuntu was installed, but uninstalled because I needed the space. Now, since I don't have a boot cd, I was trying to boot from a USB flash drive.

When it tries to load from the USB, the "syslinux 4.XX 2010-07-12 blah blah blah, and then the cursor thingy keeps flashing, but then nothing.

Don't ask me about getting into my Windows, because I can't. It won't boot up.

I've searched and have found nothing. Help? I really need my laptop!

Welcome to UF :-)
How long has Windows been unbootable?
What did you use to load the Ubuntu image to the usb stick?

Windows has been unbootable for about two weeks. I keep getting bsod and it said I had driver issues. Will installig Ubuntu fix that?

I used what Ubuntu says to use on the usb install page. I forget what its called.

Check the MD5SUM of your Ubuntu iso:
