I don't know if it exists in ubuntu or not (I just saw it in the kde overlay and checked it out), but an awesome gtk theme (https://projects.kde.org/projects/playground/artwork/oxygen-gtk) actually makes GTK apps fully integrated with KDE.
This isn't the buggy gtk-engines-qt that some people downloaded. Everything actually looks exactly as if the app was built in QT.
Check out the screenshots (note, this was built from svn), and the DE is KDE 4.5.85, aka KDE 4.6 Beta 2.
Unfortunately, I can only post a few because im getting a Glib error (my own causing) because openoffice, and some of the other apps are NOT prebuilt binaries....
