failure of installation of jdownloader

hi
i tried to install jdownloader, for that i began by this command line:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:jd-team/jdownloader

but the problem was that i had:

sudo: add-apt-repository: command not found

sorry, i forgot to mention that my ubuntu version is 8.04

The add-apt-repository command doesn't exist in Ubuntu versions prior to 10.04 (or 9.10, I forget which). You'll need to add the PPA manually.
