I've noticed on this forum theres a few people into brewing. I have a free spot in my brew scedule to put a 5gallon batch on.

I was wondering if we could do something like agree on a recipe on this thread then put a mash on at around the same time and see how it all turns out as the weeks go by? ;)

What im interested in is to see if we can come up with a recipe and brew something drinkable and see if we all get the same results.

Since nowone has yet commented heres a recipe I'm thinking of doing for a stout:

3.5kg Pale Malt (Maris Otter)
.5 kg Chocolate Malt
.5 kg Crystal (caramel) Malt
.5 kg Flaked oats

Bittering I was going to use a mix of Fuggles and Challanger with a late Fuggles to get about 100 EBC, and a touch of Irish moss for the last 15mins of the boil.

Yeast wise I was thinking of using my favorite Muntons Premium Gold as I always tend to get good results from that ;)

Any comments/suggestions from the brewers out there?
