View Full Version : Your IP address has been banned by admin.

Some days ago when I tried to log in Ubuntu forum, I could not log in and got an error message "Your IP address has has been banned by an admin". Even I could not contact with the admin.

I'm from Bangladesh and I used mobile broadband. I know my service provider distribute an IP to several thousand users. So, this forum may get many users from an IP address. Now what should I do to get a hassle free entry. I don't want this sort of problem occurring anymore.

Hope any moderator will solve the problem.

Moved to resolution Center.

It's properly that you share/use same IP where we have detected a lot of spam attacks.

AI is correct - we do have a number of attacks from spammers where the only solution to stop the attack is to ban the IP address.

It appears that you are now able to access the forums (else you wouldn't have been able to post this). If you do happen to know what your IP address was, please send me a message and I will look into it further for you.
