Need help installing usbmuxd 1.0.6

I downloaded the tar.bz2 file but have no idea how too install it. The cmake file doesn't seem to create a make file. Not sure what to do here. Please some help

According to this (http://marcansoft.com/blog/iphonelinux/usbmuxd/), you need cmake-2.6 or later... some other dependencies are listed, but I happened to have noted that one matched your query. I haven't tried 1.0.6 yet.... still researching.

I was hoping it might get Banshee a step closer to working with my ipod touch.
