Looks a bit like St. Bernard or even Caucasian Shepherd Dog, Greater Swiss Mountain Dog, Moscow Watchdog. Probably a St. Bernard.

+1 for Bernese Mountain dog. A Google image search produces nothing other than dogs that look exactly like that. I even met one once. It was just a puppy but it was huge (and a mushball, too).

It's because the dog in my the pic looks like a stuffed toy that it looks even so much cuter than other dogs in the same breed.

I know the Danish name for the breed is Berner Sennen. A friend of mine have had these all his life and they are adorable dogs but high demand pets. They need a lot of exercise and space. Never the less, I love them to death, they are warm and fuzzy, good with people and very mild mannered.

Though children do get easily scared since they grow very big and since every dog of these breed I have ever met comes charging to greet people it knows.. well.. a dog the size of a 10 year old, charging a 10 year old, I can understand how that might be uncomfortable to some.

It is one of my ambitions in life to have one, but it will have to wait till I can provide it with the life it requires. They are not apartment dogs and I certainly for the time being am an apartment human.
