These links might be helpful to you. This one is the official Ubuntu Wubi Guide (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/WubiGuide), to get you started. If you decide to try it and have more questions, or run into any problems, the Wubi Megathread (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1639198) is a great place to get answers.

The max size for wubi installs is about 30GB (limited by the wubi installer). If you want a bigger install, and you are able to install direct to partition, it's better not to use Wubi.

If you decide to use Wubi, don't update packages grub-pc and grub-common - they tend to break wubi installs.

PS I think that ubuntu.com still has the 10.04.1 version of wubi.exe. If you want the 10.10 version, either burn the .iso to cd and install if from there, or you can get the 10.10 version here: http://releases.ubuntu.com/maverick/

Well Jay Car....You are pointing me to a number of sites to fix any problems I would have using Wubi, which suggests that there a more than a couple of problems using Wubi and getting it to work...Maybe I will just dual boot the way I did with my XP machine...Had little or no problems with that process...Thanks for the advice.
