I am trying to start using 10.10 off of the Live CD. When I boot from the CD, I am able to get as far as the language select screen. When I click "Try Ubuntu without making any changes", the screen adjusts and flickers a little bit, and then goes dark.

I can hear the CD being read and the computer stays on, so it seems like there is some type of issue with the graphics. But I have no problem with the graphics when its on the first screen. Any suggestions?

Microsoft XP (attempting to add Ubuntu 10.10 via Live CD)
Intel integrated graphics

When you get to Try Ubuntu without making any changes", screen press F6 and select nomodeset ( select it with the spacebar ). See if that works.

Unfortunately, this doesn't do anything. I press F6 and nothing happens and then the screen proceeds to go blank. Pressing F6 after it goes blank doesn't do anything either.
