Seeing as I wanted to try Ubuntu 10.10 I wiped my harddrive, booted up the cd and went into the menu.

How ever this is where the trouble begins.

Whether I select "Try Ubuntu without installing" or "Install Ubuntu" it gives me the following error http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1443231

I have read it was just a default error message, but seeing as I cant rellay get past the error I am sort of stuck.

So I tried installing Ubuntu 9.10 which worked fine. I then wanted to upgrade from 9.10 to 10.10

It went fine and Ubuntu asked me to reboot. I did and I saw it logged me in (Text lines, automatic log in)

How ever after that the screen turns off, but the computer is still running.

I am assuming it is running Ubuntu, but missing some sort of graphic driver.

WHAT TO DO?! :O

My setup:
Seagate 7200.10 160GB, 8MB, ATA
MSI P35-NEO-F, Intel P35, LGA775
ASUS Radeon HD 5830 1GB GDDR5, PCI-Express 2.0,"DirectCU", 2xDVI-I, native-HDMI
Intel Core 2 Duo E6550, BOX, LGA775

Btw. I dont have another grapic card, so I sadly cant try replacing it.
