They don't know what they are doing, they decide to support or not entirely at random. I wonder if it is illegal for me to now send out copies of my 64-bit libflashplayer.so, they are no longer offering it, so there is no harm.

the problem is that the x64 link that shows up when atempting to download the non-beta version is the former link (linking to the one that doesn't have x64...)

Important: The Flash Player 10.2 beta does not replace the Flash Player "Square" preview release. To test native 64-bit browser support, please visit the Flash Player "Square" preview page for more information.

I'm confused? From that page I linked you can download preview 3 (latest version) of the 64 bit plugin. Direct link:
http://download.macromedia.com/pub/labs/flashplayer10/flashplayer10_2_p3_64bit_linux_111710.tar.gz

From about:plugins it registers as version 10.3 so I guess non pre-release 64 bit flash is coming in version 10.3?

I see, fair enough ;)
Still, at least they haven't pulled it again

The Firefox plugin actually installs the latest 64bit Flash:https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/161939/

I've been using Flash64 since they pulled it. I was using the FlashBlock Firefox add-on but these days I just let NoScript keep control of Flash. Under these circumstances I don't feel that my system's security is threatened & thus far it has remained secure.

I have try and it actually installed using the terminal. Although I don't see much difference but thanks.

The link has been missing since weeks. I found the plugin somewhere but dont remember it now, but it was flash player 'square' it said.

But good to see there is a newer plugin available.
