update manager wont work.

so ive been using ubuntu for nearly six months now. so i installed cairo dock and screenlets and restarted the computer but now the upgrade manager wont work it loads about 75% and then it says
an unresolvable problem occured while initializing the package information.

and the error message says
E:Malformed line 58 in source list /etc/apt/sources.list (dist parse)'

Can you post the contents of your sources.list or attach it to a post here. Sounds like something is screwy in your sources.list, should be an easy fix.

We need to see the output of this command from Applications > Accessories > Terminal.


cat /etc/apt/sources.list

While posting, click the # icon in post menu and paste your text in between the generated code tags.
