Hi people, I want to install ubuntu in a old machine, it's a PentiumMMX 100mhz and 64mb of ram, to use with VirtualBox... why use VB? because I need to switch two Virtual Machines: in my harddrive or local lan.. So, basically I need a minimal Ubuntu instalation, with some drivers like video, lan, sound... maybe a basic gnome desktop or equivalent...
I mean, my old machine needs to consume low resources to manage VBox, and the rest of resources available to use with the two VM's and S.O.
-what? ...Your are looking for a miracle?
ehh, not at all, I can change the machine resources..
so?
I just want a the most tiniest ubuntu's installation. ;)

Suggestions??

TY4All,

Best Regards! :KS:D:D:D

Is Ubuntu a must?
I would go for something lighter, like crunchbang or something.

Are you trying to run VirtualBox on 64MB of RAM? I don't think this is possible. Also, if you want graphics, stand alone window managers like Fluxbox or Openbox are your best option, minimal Gnome will not work.
