Since a few weeks the fonts in Maverick aren't rendering right anymore. The rendering goes wrong in Maverick itself and other such as Firefox. Tried to change the font in the appearance preferences dialog. Changing the default font in Firefox also hasn't any effect.

Hope you guys can help me out :p

Hey, I'm having a similar issue. The text anywhere in Ubuntu 10.10 will always appear with certain parts of it in white (i.e. its visible on some darker backgrounds) or with horizontal blank lines across it. It started with an update last Monday that required a computer restart and it won't go away now. The issue I'm having is that it goes away whenever I mouse-over any misrendered links, highlight the text, or hit print-screen, which is why I couldn't include some sort of a screenshot (which I was hoping to)
