Hi,

So I have installed Ubuntu 10.10 on my HP a6434f however the stock keyboard SK-2960 is having some trouble.

First when I pressed the number 1 key on the top row of the keyboard it was showing me the pop-up for audio muting within Gnome.

Since I did not require audio shortcuts being this computer will never have audio speakers I simply disabled the short cuts.

This gave me my number 1 key.

I opened up the text editor to see the results.

The following seems not to be working.

Shift + 1 = No Results
1 = 1
Shift + 2 = @
Shift + q = No Results
Shift + a = No Results
Shift + z = No Results
q = q
a = a
z = z + shift_R + ctrl_R for some reason

shift = shift + tab

My keyboard settings are as follows:

Layouts = USA
