If I do a full-install of ubuntu and use virtual box to install windows 7. Will I be able to transfer files to and from my windows 7 and ubuntu? How would that work exactly?

Yes, it is possible.

You can do this by share folders settings in virtual box and access the drives through windows network in the gust OS.

Yup as alend already specified. Just as a side note, don't have to many expectations from a windows OS installed inside virtual box. Well you shouldn't have many expectations from windows in general :-) but under virtual box it's even worst.

Hi,
I have been running a version of Windows in Vbox for years, and it works like a charm. I share file not only with the host but with others on my network. Just run the network wiz and connect it to a MS work group.

Great stuff.
