iplayer desktop

anyone having problems opening the iplayer desktop?
like it just doesn't open at all
does anyone know how to fix it

If you go into the Terminal, and type in iplayer, does anything happen? Usually if I type in a programs name it starts straight away, I also downloaded it via Terminal too. I'm having the same problems as you, and are relatively new to Linux!
