Hi

I have just build a new computer, and I want to install Ubuntu 10.10 on it. The problem is that when I run the Live cd and start the installation it cant find enough space to install.
I have a 1TB WD Black Caviar disc installed and I can see that the BIOS detects it. What is the problem, and more important what is the solution??

make sure your partitions are in the right format for ubuntu.

What partitions are on your hard drive? Do the existing partitions takes up all of the 1TB?

It is a brand new HDD so there is no partions on it yet. I want to format it with only one partition taking the 1TB.
When I try: "sudu lshw -C disc" in the terminal from the live CD it only shows the DVD drive. And GParted cant find the HDD either.
What to do??
