View Full Version : [ubuntu] Firefox Title Bar not updating all the time - Emeral Theme

I'm using Emerald Theme Manager 0.7.2. Using Oxygen 0.1 as the engine, when I switch between Firefox tabs the Title Bar lags at times and displays the previously viewed tab/screen. If I click in the Title Bar, it then updates.

Any help? Thanks.

does anybody know if there's something I could run that could update the titlebar every 30 seconds or something like that?

and can someone confirm/deny this happens for them?

thanks! I really hope for some help. a few years ago whenever I had a question it was answered almost immediately. I've had to open issues recently with a new install, and no help whatsoever. hope someone can help and restore my hope in ubuntu forums!

But... can someone at least try it and see if it happens for them?

I'm using Firefox 3.6.12, Emerald Themer 0.7.2, vrunner 0.2, and the H2O Aero Theme.

Open up Firefox with multiple tabs. Do a control-tab to switch between them.

I wouldn't think it being firefox version dependent, but maybe it's worth a shot upgrading.

Were you running emerald/vrunner?

Yep, vrunner 0.2 engine but a different theme.
Couldn't find H2O theme.

Upgraded to firefox 3.6.13 but no changes. not sure what to suspect here (maybe some compiz setting?), but it's a strange bug. whenever I click on the bar or hover over the max/min/close button the titlebar text updates.

It's not just Firefox. I am affected as well, it's probably a bug in compiz.
