I've just put a new hard drive into my PC and I now want to use Linux as my OS. I've downloaded the software but when I try to install it I don't past the second screen which asks me to ensure there is 2.6 Gb of storage space on my hard drive etc. There is a big black X beside the storage space comment - suggesting I have no space on my hard drive I guess.

So the boot disc doesn't seem to be recognising my hard drive. Not sure what to do now. Any ideas?

So do you have two hard drives? You'll need to choose manual installation, partition and format the new drive before you can install anything on it.
