bottom bar missing

i accidentally deleted the bottom bar on my ubuntu 10.10 desktop. i was able to replace the bottom bar but the one i replaced it with doesnt allow applications to close to it or let me switch between workplaces. any help is much appreciated.

Right click the bottom panel , select add to panel and from the list add the items you want. Window list shows running or minimized applications on the panel.

Glad it's working , I had a friend that passed away who used to say things like " sharp as a marble " and " finer than frogs hair . " This is strange because frogs don't have hair and marbles are not sharp. :)
