I re-installed ubuntu 10.04
for prep I did a backup with Simple Backup Config
after reinstalling i restored with Simple Backup restore
some installed software software now doesn't start and after troubleshooting i think problem is file permissions but i'm not sure which permissions of which files to change and what they should be changed to. has anyone had experience with this and if so is it because it works or because its the right way to do it and it works :)
