Just got this today and was wondering do ISP's really care about the integrity of their customers like this?

93.189.3.178 - - [01/Dec/2010:14:05:02 -0800] "GET /user/soapCaller.bs HTTP/1.1" 404 473 "-" "Morfeus ****ing Scanner"

and if I send this to the ISP will they terminate this persons connection. I know this person can find someone else, but it will be worth it to cause this person a little headache!

More info on the IP:

Has nothing to do with Ubuntu or Security, moved to the Cafe.

That won't get an account terminated most places. The TOS will ban it, but from my experience, ISPs don't care about an occasional log entry from one complainer, whether because they don't care about abuse, or they're unwilling to sack a customer over one allegation with zero proof. It isn't even worth the effort unless that one IP continues abusing your services.

I gave up reporting abuse years ago, as nothing ever came of it.
