OK. Maybe in defiance of moderators. I think this is an interesting subject. Turns out that Wikileaks is down because of a massive DDos attack.

So, my question: What does this say about the WWW, if anything? My guess is that the US Government is behind this. No comment (politics) on whether it's right or wrong. It's just the technical aspect that interests me (and what it says about the WWW and national defense).
It's almost as if some folks in the Pentagon are trying out a new weapon. We're seeing, in real time, the makings of an international battlefield and how a technological war will be waged.
Interestingly, the release of the Wikileak documents shows that the Chinese politburo was behind the hacking of Google's Gmail system and recently, a massive chunk of US web traffic was routed through China.
