ok .. i currently have a throw together system that is working reasonably well but i want to do some hardware upgrades, namely MOBO and processor . my system is currently :

2.60 gigahertz AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core
256 kilobyte primary memory cache
1024 kilobyte secondary memory cache
64-bit ready
Multi-core (2 total)
Not hyper-threaded

Board: MICRO-STAR INTERANTONAL CO.,LTD MS-7302 1.0
Bus Clock: 200 megahertz

i dual boot 7 and ubuntu. any suggestions on upgrades that wont cost the earth .. video card is newly purchased so not really wanting to change that out .. but everything else is fair game .. decent mobo and processor is the main thing though
