i need help installing ubuntu

Ok i dont know how to install ubuntu and i dont know what version to get for my laptop i have a rather old laptop around late 2007- early 2008 so its about 3 years old its an hp pavilion between dv2000-dv2700 im not too sure and it has an amb turion64x2 processor and im not to sure which nvidia graphics card and its vista 32 bit so i dont know what will work and i never tryed ubuntu but i would really like too.

Download the latest release burn a cd and try it out without installing. There is a 32 bit and a 64 bit version, and you can also just use a thumb drive rather then a cd.
